American traveling to Cuba?
Does anyone know specifically how to do it? I know you can go through Canada and they will not stamp your passport, so the US customs has no clue you've been elsewhere. Has anyone actually done it? Thanks.
You have to be careful about many things. First, how to explain the missing time on your passport. Second, about leaving a paper trail, such as using credit cards, etc. If you ever want to work for the government, they generally do a backround check. If they look thoroughly enough they are bound to find out or you will have to lie and face more trouble.
I live in Guatemala and have never been to Cuba, but I know many people go and seemingly have no problems. I would suggest thinking about the possible problems you can face in the future.

I know plenty of Anthropology professors who go all the time. They have to go via Canada.

I'm sorry that I cannot help you with this. I did want to thank you, though, for responding to my MIRP surgery question. I really appreciate your help.
