Oh yes! You can experience Carnival in Bolivia (Oruro, Cochabamba), Peru, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay, Trinidad, Puerto Rico, etc. To me the most famous carnival is the one in Gualeguaychu, in the Entre Rios province in Argentina. Been there once, they have a pagent and parade just like in Rio and it's becoming more popular. There are also famous carnivals in Venice, Spain, Portugal. In Brasil the most famous one is not Rio (to me) it's the carnival in Bahia which is the original non Hollywood carnival festivity.
