I lived there for many years and I have to be honest medellin has beautiful women. Cali has them also but they are strating to get a bit too dark for my taste. The surrounding cities are normally of black race and they are infiltrating the city. So medellin is what I recommend. The nighlife is great and the women are sexy. You will stick out but they sort of like that. If you can con them into thinking you are really into them and you might bring them back or pay them for thier sad stories they will worship the ground you walk on. Don't give them money for anything or you will be their sugar daddy and they loose respect. Unless you are looking for a pro (pre pago) which are lovely young 18-19 year olds willing to be your girlfriends for the right $$$. I would defiantely try them if you can't score for free. Any strip joint or massage parlor will do and they are very inexpensive normally $50 USD for an hour with a room. Everything is game. I would hit medellin for the parties and nightlife and ladies. Don't be too flaunty that you are foreigners and show off the jewelry watches or money too much. After I would hit cartagena fo the beach scene and a bit more relaxed atmosphere still a bit of partying but not as good as medellin.

I am being comepletely honest and I am in my late twenties I know what you are looking for. Try medellin and then cartagena you'll thank me for it

Hi,
my husband went to Colombia single to meet a truely loving woman and he found me!!
I would recommend you to go to Barranquilla, santa marta, cartagena, bogota and cali, those are the cities with the best in entertainment, most beautiful ladies and wonderful places for vacation, about the unsafety , just don't show off you come from another place, Colombia is a country of beautiful and nice people, I'm sure you're going to have a lot of fun.
My husband an American visited me in Barranquilla and now we are happily married!!!

Well Colombia is Great, I would Very Strongly Suggest that if you are planning on going there, try to have a local friend/s and let them take you guys out, dont just hit the road, because that may be asking for trouble, since you guys will stick out and anyone that sees you will know you are tourist (trouble, robberry, kidnappings) so a local friend can keep you in the nice/safe areas. I dont mean to scare you, but dont hang out with jewelry. watch etc, you will make it tempting for robbers. OK now for the party scene... Colombia is a party country, The people tend to be on the friendly side, most of the trouble that you hear about the guerillas is out on the country. I lived there for many years in several different cities and did I have the time of my life. Oh heres another tip.. if you go to any bar/club be careful with your drinks, make sure they open the beer in your table and dont just leave it sitting alone while you dance then come back to drink some more, it gives someone a chance to put something in it.

Well hope this helps.

Mike...

Curious why you're choosing Colombia. It's a beautiful country and all, but renowned for violence and danger. It's not usually top on the list of tourist countries.

For the party scene, I would probably suggest Cartagena. It's tropical, it has a beach and until recently it was on the cruise tour. Most cruise liners won't go there anymore because of the drug/gang problems in Colombia.

For a more relaxed South American vacation, might I suggest Brazil? Though Portuguese is the official language of Brazil, if you're proficient in Spanish you should have no trouble navigating. Brazil has fabulous beaches and partying is sort of considered a way of life there.
