Please forget about the rude answers posted here before. Buenos Aires is an exciting city, I've been 7 times there. Here are some places you can visit while there:
-Historic downtown: Casa Rosada (presidential palace), Cathedral, Cabildo, Torre de los Ingleses, Plaza San Martin, Florida street, San Fe street.
-Recoleta Neighbourhood: Cementary, Pubs, cinemas, hippie fair, Bellas Artes Museum.
-San Telmo fair, Plaza Dorrego which on Sundays have an antique fair in the main square.
-Boca neighbourhood: quite historic although it's a bit small and I didnt like it.
-Tango restaurants where you can watch people dance.
-Teatro Colon: quite nice and impressive theatre.
-Tren de la Costa, a train which goes to Tigre, a river delta where you can hire a boat and go to Rio de la Plata.
-Palermo neighbourhood: nice restaurants, parks, pubs.
-Tour to Santa Susana hacienda where you will see gauchos in action and have a nice meal.
The best food are parrilladas, meat on bbq. They also have excellent pizzas dut to the Italian influence. If you have a sweet tooth, try Dulce de leche and alfajores. The wine is also excellent. |
