I came to Costa Rica almost 4 years ago and decided to stay. Why? The lifestyle here is much more laid back than in the United States. I live a comfortable lifestyle with not even half the stress. You can find all of the commodities that you can imagine here. It is not a First World country by any means, but it is slowly leaving the Third World.
If you need more information about Costa Rica, visit the TicosLand.com directory.

I've been a number of times and I'm going back next year. I love it. The people are so wonderful, the scenery is beautiful, and there is so much fun to be had. Plus they have cool things here, like active volcanoes, iguanas basking on the sidewalks, monkeys in the trees and zip lining (aka canopy tour). Its so much fun. I'm going back next year to learn Poi and get some spanish help and I'm planning a mother/daughter retreat for me and my friends the year after that. I'm seriously thinking about retiring here if I can ever get my spanish going (luckily I've got quite a few years ahead of me to learn).
