I used to live in Caracas and have been to Los Roques at least 5 times. Simply stunning. Some of the best beaches I've ever seen in my life. The snorkeling is amazing and to answer your questions, it's 100% safe. (unlike Caracas) The posadas (bed and breakfasts) vary but that's good news as it means you can find one that will fit your budget. Also, there are no cars so there's no pollution or traffic to worry about. Word of advice, take cash as they take credit cards in very few places and there weren't any ATMs the last time I was there. ENJOY! You won't regret it.

You will love it!!! It is a National Park so it is well protected. There are not luxury hotels in order to protect the natural habitat..It is beautiful!!! Great vacation destination!! Enjoy it!!

Yes, they had a murder recently... but it was a rare case. Los Roques is a very safe place, probably the only safe place left in Venezuela. I loved in Caracas mostly all my life and unfortunately never got to go to Los Roques, but I do have several friends that have gone and the pictures look amazing. :)

Hi, i´m from venezuela, los roques is totally worth it, the main island is gran roque, an from there u go out in catamaran to the other little islands. yes it´s safe and absolutely beautiful.

Yes is very nice and very safe, but you must want to travel in a small jet plane to get to Los Roques quickly or rather you prefered the sea longer time.
