Anyone from El Salvador? I'm doing a little research and need some help.?

I have two little questions.

a) Approximately, what time does it get dark in El Salvador in January and March their local time of course?

and

b) What kind of sports would school children be playing in March? I'm talking about 6-8 year olds.

Thanks.

Someone was wondering what kind of research I was doing. I am working on a book (which will probably never see the light of day) set in that area. One of the scenes involves one of my main characters going to watch his son play sports.

Those are some interesting questions. I'm interested as to what your research is exactly.

The first question I can't be exact, but I know it seemed to dark all year round between 5 and 6:30ish. Throughout the year the sunset doesn't change as much since it's kind of close to the Equator. You could probably find more exact info somewhere online.

Anyway, I can help you with the second question. Basically, soccer is the big one, all year round. We also played something like kick the can, except with a ball. Also, kind of a hide-and-seek/ tag mixture, where you had to tag a landmark (pole, table, etc.) without the person who was it seeing you or taggin you. I guess that's one's almost like kick the can.

Good luck with finding out what 6-8 year old school children play in March in El Salvador. You might want to broaden your question a little.

Mercy
It gets dark at around 6PM.
the sports depends on what type of school they go to or how rich they are. and on where they live. Usually they mainly play soccer, kick the can(if there is no ball), tag, hide and seek, and many games on what american kids play. on holidays they play with fireworks.

It does get dark between about 5:30 - 6:00 all year round in El Salvador.

And most every kids plays soccer, all the time.
