In Peru for example, the jungle is separated to the rest of the country by the Andean mountain ridge, but even so, flocks of green parrots and green parakeets make their way to the western coast and are commonly seen on tree tops even in suburban Lima making a lot of racket.
Now the color full Macaw Parrot is only found in the jungle but not only around the amazon river but even in the far away Iguazu falls between Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina.
