Arenal Observatory Lodge or Arenal Springs Resort, Costa Rica?

Any Opinions on this hotels?

arenal observatory lodge, will be your best option I worked there for over 5 years


Heliconiaceae
Arenal Observatory Lodge was created for scientific study of the Volcano after the major eruption of 1968. It has the BEST lava views 24/7 as it is located around the backside of the Volcano towards the South West corner. Another great hotel in this area is Linda Vista del Norte. It is located further from the volcano but higher up on a hill overlooking the Arenal Lake. They have a great steak house there too if you just want to go for dinner with Great Lava Views!

Arenal Springs is Closer to La Fortuna (the major tourist centre in the area). This lodge has very nice Volcano views but not really great lava views. It is located towards the North of the Volcano. The flow used to be closer but has shifted almost due west today.
