Beaches in Costa Rica?

Okay, the plan is to be on the West Coast of Costa Rica, and I WILL be in Manual Antonio (or Quepos), but I was planning on including a second West-Coast beach for our vacation. What I'm looking for is quite and relaxed, with as least surfer-type crowd as possible, so no places like Jaco or Tamarindo. One option is somewhere on the Osa Peninsula near Corcovado for a few days, but I'd prefer something a little less-wild. Any suggestions?

Check out Playa Zancudo. Is 30 min boat ride from Golfito. Beautiful sand beach (some are very rocky). Nice cabinas and restaurants and not many people on the beach. I live in Golfito and go there just to kick back & relax. Look up Sol Y Mar. And it's a lot less expensive than Manuel Antonio and safer too. No undertow.

you could take a boat ride from Puntarenas to Isla Tortuga (which in that case you would have to stay in Puntarenas) or Koko beach is nice...

Playa Conchal in Guanacaste is considered one of the most beautiful and laid back beaches in Costa Rica. It's about 45 minutes north or Tamarindo. I stayed there a few years ago during Christmas and there were times I was one of maybe a dozen people on the beach . . . and that was during holiday.

White sugar sand beach !!!

Pura Vida.

I liked Playa Flamingo. No surfers and beautiful area. Kinda pricey though. Try Dominical down south of Quepos.
