Best beach in costa rica?

Details:

In your opinion - what is the most beautiful beach in Costa Rica and why? We are going to CR for our 3rd time this winter and I am determined to find the most beautiful beach to lay out and get some sun and swim... I'm curious about both sides -- Caribbean and Pacific. Mostly, I'm wondering, if CR has any beaches that have white sand and turquoise waters... like Turks & Caicos or like Bahamas... do those types of beaches exist in CR?

Additional Details
looking for a non-surfing type beach, becasue we just want to lay out by the water and soak up the sun. :]

My favorite beach/town on the Atlantic side is Puerto Viejo. From there, as many as five beaches are accessible by bike. One is volcanic black sand and the others are normal Caribbean sand. On the Pacific side, my absolute favorite beach is Dominical. It is my favorite because it is definitely not a typical touristy beach. It is a little more difficult to get to using public transportation, but with a rental, it will be no problem. The beach itself is amazing. The slope is so gradual that there is literally about 100 yards of sand between high and low tides. The sunsets are amazing. It is much quieter than other beaches, but there are still good restaurants, hostels/hotels, and surf-shops.

Try manuel antonio beaches inside manuel antonio national park....

Frightened Mom
I only went to Manual Antonio and I loved it. I have not been to a beach that just looks at shores filled with trees without, neon lamp,s bikers, joggers, pavements etc. It was serene and the curve to the national park looks beautiful. Couple of beaches inside the national park is also good for swimming as the water is blocked by the shape of the beach.

Those type of beaches are more like the carribean coast of Costa Rica.
I think the best beaches are Avellanas, Brazilito and some of the lesser visited beaches in Guanacaste.
