If you are looking for a beach, then I would recommend either Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) or Cancun (Mexico). If you are looking for a more "cultural" kind of trip you can always visit Machu Picchu in Peru, or the Mayan Ruins in Guatemala or the Aztec ruins in Mexico.
Personally I would recommend going to Peru, Chile, Argentina, Brazil (in that order from west to east) and enjoy the best of South America. |

Costa Rica. Its cheap and sooo beautiful. There is a LOT to do.
Go to virtualtourist.com and check it out. It will tell you where to go, tourist traps, warning/dangers and MUST see places.
You can look up any country and specify which cities too. This website is better than ANY commercial guide.
Wherever you go, have fun!!! |

i would say Nicaragua was very fun when i went, you can go to the Beach [Montelimar] and you can have your own little island for a day in Granada, there is exotic animals, and there's Beautiful Lakes and Volcanoes, it has great food , but it can be a little dirty in the city like Managua but other than that it's a very beautiful place to visit |

I love Mexico. It has many very different areas. Mexico City is a very exciting city; the Gulf and Pacific Coasts (Vera Cruz, Acapulco, etc,) are wonderful. Mayaland (Merida and the Maya Hill Country south of it) very interesting. Food's great all over and la gente es muy simpatico.
The nice thing about Mexico is that if you don't like where you are, you can go someplace else within the country on the bus, which is not true of the Islands or the smaller countries. |
