Northern Honduras can offer all you want at an affordable price. Copan has some extraordinary Mayan ruins and it's not too far by car, bus or ferry to the Caribbean coast at Tela, La Ceiba or the Bay Islands. Check some of the webs sites for Copan, Tela or Roatan/Utila. |

If you are only going for a short period like that, Merida, or Cancun would be a good choice. Beautiful beaches and Mayan ruins abound. |

Guatemala. You can visit Antigua Guatemala the third and only city standing founded by the spanish when they conquered. Beufitull site. If you like arqueological places TIKAL, PETEN you can visit the MAYAN ruins in the middle of the jungle. If you like beutifull natural scenarios you can visit the lake of Atitlan (it has a volcanoe and you will see the most beautifull sunsets of your life). There are other places to go, pretty good hotels and one of the richest cultures you will find around the world
