Blonde hair while studying in Chile?

I am going to be studying at a university in Chile next semester and I have blonde hair and blue eyes. Do you think it would be a good idea to dye my hair dark brown while I'm there just so I don't stick out? Are there many Chileans with blonde hair?
I just don't really want to stick out too much because when I was studying in Guatemala I couldn't walk down the street with out being cat called and people would touch my hair on buses and things which got real old very quickly. I know the two countries are very different but I just want some opinions. I'm a little afraid of looking really weird since I've always had blonde hair.
Thanks! =)

Try having red hair.

Dye it if you like, but people will still notice you as being different. I did know a guy from Chile at school who was a sandy blonde - not sure how many blonde people there are in the population. I would leave it as is. Why potentially destroy your hair? Dye is very hard to get out of light hair I have heard. You can always wear a hat.

I did find this which might be helpful - http://www.contactchile.cl/en/chile-chileans-01.php

If you went to Africa, most people are Black, so you would have to dye your skin. In Italy, people are not very tall, so you would need to chop your feet off to be shorter. I will be going to America next year and I hear that the people are a lot fatter there, so I will need to put on some weight.
