You can catch the grey bus to any of those locations from San Jose.
Please understand that the Bus Terminal is located in San Jose’s Coca Cola district, aka Zona Roja, or the Red Light District. Zona Roja is one of worst parts of San Jose for pick-pocketing and petty theft. Obviously, tourists and travelers are targets. Keep an eye on your bags and belongings at all times, and keep your passport and important stuff close to you. Don’t let anybody watch or handle your stuff for you.

yes u can get to their on bus, go to san jose, (el centro) were all the busses are at and just ask around. just be carefull, trust me i was born their and half my family is their now.

you can take a bus in San Jose (coca cola station thats what its called) to Limon and when u get the limon downtown take a bus at the same station to tortuguero
