It is an urban legend. If they existed, somebody somewhere would have shot one or been bitten by one or captured one.
We can capture a cheetah, an elephant, a kangaroo, a dolphin, a gorilla, a wolf, etc. All of these are in zoos. So why can't we capture or kill a chupacabra? Because they don't exist!
