As long as they're nonperishable I believe you can. Actual fruits and vegetables are not allowed to be brough anywhere on planes.

What do you mean by dry goods? Are you referring to textiles, clothing etc. or dried packaged food? I suspect the former. In that case it will probably depend upon how much you intend to bring. I would doubt that you would have trouble with a bag full for example.

Am sure there's a Costa Rican web site that addresses this. However, I took into the country cheese crackers, pretzels and plastic bags with cereal. No problem, mon, with customs. Adios.

Yes, you can. It's fruits,veggies, meat and fish you can't take with you. Although, I know a quite afew people who bring back fish and friuts...
