I presume you mean Costa Brava, Spain. This is Costa Rica. Costa Brava's weather is not unlike the southern states in the United States as far as weather is concerned.

i went in december and it didnt rain and it was short and tshiry weather so you should be fine. check bbc weather (the most reliable)
or accuview weather (gives up to 3 weeks weather) |

not hot but warmer than uk you do see some sun and usually some rain youd be better with costa del sol thats at the south of spain so hot costa brava is just past the south of france |

Hi I was there in the first week of November in Tossa de Mar and It was the same as the weather here at home COLD miserable and out of season so all the shops were closing. it was boring cheap and nasty. I suppose it depends what you pay. Dont think you will be able to go swimming because you wont unless you wear a wet suit. It was the worst holiday of my whole life. |

Spring and autumn is the wettest time, although rainfall on the Costa Brava is fairly moderate, with the area receiving about 600mm per year. The autumns are warm, seeing temperatures between 21- 24C, with October being the wettest month. During the winter, the sun still shines an average of 6 hours a day, although the temperatures drop to 16C, resulting in crisp, bright days.

Anyway October is a rainy month, in Costa Rica it usually rains in the afternoons on and off every 15 minutes or so.
Most people continue their everyday activities rain or shine.
