Yes, but they must be over 5 years old. Unaccompanied minors ages 5-7 years are accepted for nonstop and direct flights only.
My 6 year old son traveled by himself about 2 months ago from Houston to Costa Rica, but I had to pay $60 (one way) to Continental Airlines for a stewardess to escort him. They take really good care of children and they are very careful to check the ID of the person who is supposed to pick the child up. They don't take any risks. I'll recommend you to use this service.

It depends. If you are traveling domesticly (inside the United States) you can make a non-stop flight if someone meets you at the gate. To travel with stops in the US you have to pay a fee. Once you turn 16 you can fly anywhere by yourself. My brother and i fly together, but we still have to fly non-stop or pay the fee. If you fly unacompanied, they call it "Unacompanied Minors". It costs 100 US$ to fly by yourself one way.

Yes they can but the parrent must escourt them to the Air port if that is how they are traveling and someone must be at the final destination to pick them up. on the way a stuartess will take care of them as is pleased.
If it's by any other form of transportation i am not sure.
