Hi!!

I'm from Guatemala and sure, I'll answer to your question.

Guatemala has a tropical climate. The summer is about to begin.

Traditional dishes:

Tostadas (it's like a fried tortilla with guacamole, beans, etc..)
Enchiladas, tacos, chuchitos, atol de elote, rellenitos, fiambre, chijín, pepian, canillas de leche, etc etc etc

Here you can find more: http://www.asedi.edu.gt/enlace/2004/09/tipicas.html

Blessings =)

Guatemala has a variety of climates, depending on elevation. Since the country is only 15 degrees from the equator, the low lying areas are tropical in nature. Higher up in the mountains, temperatures are more spring-like. The capital city is a mile-high city like Denver and usually does not get as hot as the low-lands. The tops of volcano's can actually have frost on them on cooler days.

The native dishes are tortillas, nachos, tamales, frijoles, rice, guacamole, enchiladas, and many others.

Well i'm from Guatemala too and well i'm from Puerto San Jose near Escuintla but if you are going to go there take short and shirts because it's so hot because of the beach there, it's sooo nice there and near the beach there's a lot of hotels if you want to spend the night there! Good luck!

You can say the weather is tropical like but mostly SPRING LIKE, it is spring all year long with dashes of summer and winter Guatemala is called the land of eternal Spring.

Typoical dishes, would be tamales, paches, fiambre, cuchitos, arroz con leche, tostadas, pepian.

Guatemala has a very tropical climate. When I was there, it was in July and it rained every single day--at about the same time. It POURED and 3 pm. We had a lot of rice and beans. And plantains.
