Changes in Quito, Ecuador? |
I'm doing a project on Ecuador for school. I need to know changes/effects in Quito, Ecaudor. I can't find anything on the internet. I need to know what type of changes were made in Quito and how the people like the changes and how things are going. An example would be "Blah Blah Town started recycling. The people are liking it. The town seems much cleaner." or something like that. Could anyone help? Thanks in advance!! |

I suppose you are not living in Ecuador. In that case, what I´d suggest is to open a free account at local newspapers and search for news in past editions. A couple of newspapers can be reach at: www.elcomercio.com and www.lahora.com.ec.
If you are living in Quito, make a visit to the major office -municipio- and they can give you some information. |

Well, i have an ecuadorian boyfriend and watch a lot of news about Ecuador, currently the economy of ecuador is changing for the worse just like america. the avergae rate of pay for a typical farmer could be as low as 10$ a day. The problem with that is that costs of food are rising. rent and electricity are low costs, but many people are suffering and starving because they cant get more work for more money for more food. times are very hard their right now and people are unhappy. hopes that helps! |

Your question seems so broad, but regarding recycling, I know that the city of Loja, started a recycling program that has been very, very successful. In fact there are other cities in other countries that want to emulate the program and won some international award. You can probably google it. |
