I don't know what the percentage of Chinese/Taiwanese are in Peru, but I have a friend of Taiwanese descent from Peru, and she indicated that there are many Asian communities in Peru. Also, the former prime minister, Alberto Fujimori, is of Japanese descent. So in general there seems to be a significant Asian population in Peru.

peru has the second largest population of asian people in latin america most of the concentreted in lima but also in other provinces ,the first is brasil .
most of the asian population is korean,chinese, taiwanese and japanese ,but there are from other parts of asia also;
you will remember that they had a president of japanese ancestry called alberto fujimori and that their chinatown is huge and not only that but they have entire neighbourhoods of asian comunities , usually the are business people and well prepare.

I saw many Chinese people or Orientals( don't know if they are Chinese or other) in Lima but not in the other towns like Cusco or Puno.
