Wow not sure of your quesiton. The two biggest are Quito and Guyaquil. Both good places to visit. Quito has a cool plaza on the equator. If you want to see more ecuadorian cities.. try google.

The capitol is Quito
The largest city is Guayaqiul
A very industrious village is Otavalo
There is also Banos

Tips: You will want to visit the Aztec ruins, a place called Inga Pirca. You also might want to visit the Galapagos, but you have to pay a fee of 100$ to get on the island. You should also visit the Andes they are breathtaking. Finally, you should know that when you go to Quito to stand on the Equator, you're in the wrong place. The real Equator is in small village about 20 miles south of there.

You can fly to Quito or Guayaquil, usually same price, Guayaquil is always hot, Quito is always "spring" Mountains surrounding Quito are big and beautiful, many tourists and backpackers. Depending on your time and pocket, I would suggest 2 - 3 days in Quito, 1 day in Baños, 1 day in Guayaquil and 3 days in Galapagos ( this part is expensive )

Oh so many...others have already mentioned Quito and Guayaquil, both great places to visit. Banos is several hours away from Quito and definitely worth visiting, lots of outdoorsy things to do, very beautiful scenery. You should also visit Otovalo, it is a small city where there is a great indigenous market and nearby is Couy lake (sp?), it is a volcano lake that is beautiful and is nice to hike around (takes about 6-7 hours). Also there are several smaller cities on the coast that I would recommend visiting, Esmereldes is the most urban of all of them, it is about 6 hours from Quito, near the Pacific coast. Nearby is Atacames which is a touristy beach town, with lots of nightlife. also nearby, but much quieter than Atacames is Same, there are beautiful resorts there and it has a lovely view.
