College on The Galapagos Islands?

I want to know if there are any good colleges on the galapagos islands because I want to study marine biology. Can you give me names and facts about the colleges? Also any useful advice for going to college on any island-like environment.

The Galapagos Academice Institute for the Arts & Sciences (GAIAS) is located in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, the capital of the Galapagos Archipelago on the island of San Cristóbal. This small bayside village is the oldest settlement of the Archipelago and has a population of around 6,000 inhabitants, most of whom make their living principally by artesanal fishing and tourism.
Why does eveybody assume the Galapogos islands are like
one big nature reseve people live there and there is a collage (GALAPAGOS ACADEMIC INSTITUTE)
I have the web address below

I would suggest to contact the Charles darwin Foundation, located in Santa Cruz Island to ask informations. You could apply for some research activity and even they could suggest you which the best college on the mainland that gives courses on marine biology. So far as I know San Francisco University in Quito could be quite good. Actually I know that responsible of the Ecology department runs seminars on the Islands

I don't believe that there are actually any colleges on the Galapagos Islands. There are research facilities but the the islands are very controlled with the population and I can't imagine having a full college would benefit the ecosystem there that everyone is working so hard to protect.

I believe your best bet would be to contact the research facility directly and find out what type of requirements they entail in order to accept people. You may be able to work out an internship or employment. Or at least know what type of classes or skills you need in order to qualify.

Good luck, that would be an incredible opportunity and I hope you manage it.
