Yeah. It's a great place to go. I liked Heredia, Arenal, and Monteverde. San Jose is very busy so if you dont like crowds not the place to go.
I found this very helpful: Va este tren/ autobus a...? which means does this train or bus go to...?
Me tengo que bajar aqui? which is Do I get off here?
The most of all I found this helpful Estoy perdido means I'm lost.
You will have fun i did. I'm fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, but don't worry they speak Spanish in Costa Rica, and even you don't speak Spanish they may be desk clerks that speak English. I wish you the best on your trip and have fun.
I highly suggest taking hiking trips. You see beautiful flowers and animals and lets not forget the scenery. |

Really good place!!! Specially Liberia, try to find tickects to LIB Airport (Daniel Oduber Int'l Airport), beaches are very near and are very beautiful. Just be patient with the road's holes because in someplaces there are a lot!!! Or if you want to know more than beaches, buy a ticket to SJO (Juan Santamaria Int'l Airport) in San Jose, u could visit the city, volcanoes and 2 hours far is Jaco Beach. |

I've never heard of anyone being disappointed in visiting Costa Rica. There's a huge variety of things to do. We're birdwatchers and have been there 3 times.
But there's beach, good food, etc. We highly recommend Costa Rican Expeditions for any kind of trip there. They really know their business.
If you're interested in nature, I'd highly suggest a couple days, or more, in Tortugera. We also found the arch'l museum in San Jose fascinating.
We're old crocks, but there's plenty for all ages! |
