Here's a start...Christopher Columbus gave Costa Rica (the rich coast) its name on his fourth and final voyage to the Americas, C.R. currency is named after him (colon). There are stone spheres throughout the country that puzzle archaeologists still today. C.R. has no army, not since 1948. There has been a new beer revolution, Pilsen, one of the more popular brands just came out with a 6% alcohol volume beer. One of the more popular bands in C.R. today is called Evolution, check them out. C.R has the most flora and fauna per capita then any other country in the world. The two major futbol (soccer) teams are Saprissa (purple and white) and La Liga (red and black).
