Rob! seems to have answered well. A huge concern will be the price. Things are a lot cheaper down there than in the US. Also, the name make sure that it is appropriate, respectful and means something. And think of your audience. Obviously you wouldn't try and sell fur parkas down there. The culture seems to be becoming a lot more open. Also, think of where this will be selling. You probably won't be selling much of certain products anywhere but the city. A lot of the small towns are poor, and some products that are maybe a luxury won't sell. In Guatemala City, there is a lot of luxury in certain parts of town though. |

You might consider having a good dealer/distributor that supports you on logistics.
The quality is important as well as the price, but if your packing is all in English and your brand not well known your may have problems selling it.
We are use to having fresh fruits and vegetables, not too spicy food, but in these times we are open minded and used to buy products from many countries. |

hmmm....i guess it might be...
- the name of the product, if it's in spanish you should know what it means, there are different words that depending of the country have different meanings.
- the kind of product that is.... we're not that "open minded country"...haha
- the price! more important than quality is price! we are a poor country!
hope it helps! :) |

That Guatemala is a poor country and can't afford what the United States has. The product might not be as effective as it says. It is in spanish. The price is going to be cheaper, but the quality might be cheap as well. |
