If you need exchange rate please use converter below

Take dollars. You can probably get a better exchange rate if you exchange in Peru. Airports are not a good place, because the exc rate is a rip off. You change there when you need to.
In Latin America, businesses take US dollars, but I would not advise it, since you also get screwed in the exchange rate sometimes

Get New Soles, it's better because the value of the currency is getting appreciated, that means, for every day that you have a dollar, you're wasting a pennie/dollar in just money exchange, it may not be a big deal, but knowing the fact of how much you 'll be spending, you may wanna save those extra pennies to buy something else

1 dolar is 2.36 soles right now..here in Lima, it's better to change your dollars on the streets than in the banks or the money house. They are safe, dont worry.

Take dollars...BUT ---BE SURE THAT THEY ARE NEW AND NOT RIPPED. They won't take damaged currency. I learned this the hard way!

1 dollar is approx. 3.21

Good luck and have a nice time in Peru!
