It is different than in the United States. The bigger cities are very active on any given day. People coming and going to local markets and stores trying to make a dollar. You will see two classes of people in the bigger cities. Rich and poor. Really no middle class. In the country side you will see only one class and that is poor. The times I have gone to central america security is a concern. To go out and about at night is very risky. In the U.S. you don't give it much thought. I was amazed at the security guards standing at doorways of most business's and even some homes in the bigger cities of honduras. There were even times you saw the military out on the streets trying to deter crime. The the side to central america is that you can meet some really genuine people. I met more geniune people and very few frauds or con artists like you might find in the U.S. I have enjoyed all my trips to C.A. The travel there is not for everyone. You must be on alert at all times. But for the most part I give it high marks as a place to visit. For the price it is a better value to vacation than Hawaii, Florida and other top places in U.S. You can easily spend twice or three times the amount of days than you would in the U.S vacationing because it costs must less. But the service and food is top notch and really amazing. |

this is a typical american question.
Latin american countries are very different. you can't compare Mexico with Argentina, or Brazil with El Salvador.
so, I recommend you to get a encyclopedia and a good history book, and start reading.
this question is as vague, as askinf "describe life in Asia", or "describe the weather in USA". |

You are asking for a thesis paper ...
Let me tell you something. The differences between Chile and Ecuador OR even Chile and Mexico OR Argentina and Mexico are huge. For one thing, you would have to consider the history of the countries.
Economically, racially, geographically (even weather-wise) and historically they differ.
Argentina is basically White and their Spanish sounds like singing.
Chile is a relatively wealthy country and has a middle-class. They enjoy skiing in the Alps. There are practically no Blacks, they like to produce and drink wine and they enjoy Christmas at the beach. Chile has deserts and a lot of mining too.
Colombians have supposedly the "best" Spanish ( purest, in comparison with Castillian).
Ecuador on the other hand is closer to the equator, has a year-round warmer climate, has a large Indigenous population, is extremely poor (no middle class) and there are a lot of horse ranches.
If I had to cross-reference every single country to another I'd be here for a week. :-)
But I assume now that you get the idea and the point I am trying to make ...
Are you fishing to get ideas for a school report? :-) |
