of course u need visa to Chile is $100.00 dollars and if u want to go to Bolivia the same price, same price for Brazil, $100.00 dollars even. U can go for free for now to Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay till 90 days. Otherwise u can visit each home page of each country. Remember take care!!! without visa u can deported to the country of origen they dont care if u r US Citizen.

John, you're asking the same question about a lot of countries. Just go here to find out about all the countries you'll be visiting:

You won't need a visa, however you will have to pay a US$100 Entry Tax in cash (if you haven't done so already) to enter the country. The government charges American, Canadian, Australian and Mexican citizens an entry tax, because they charge the same amount to Chilean citizens when they apply for a visa. You only have to pay once and your passport will be stamped which will be good until your passport expires or is cancelled.

The fee must be paid in U.S. dollars.

A visa should only be required if you are spending an extended amount of time in the country, for example, a long vacation would require a tourist visa. To be sure of the requirements contact the Chilean embassy in Washington DC
