Do I need special medical shots to go to Nicaragua? If so, which ones?
Malaria has been erradicated in Nicaragua so you dont need that shot. To any Central American country it is recommended the yellow fever shot due to the large amounts of jungle there. However, take also medicine for diarreah and drink bottled water but apart from the yellow fever you dont need any other shot. Doctors will tell you that you need tons of shots just to charge you millions of dollars but Nicaragua is not a foresaken country in the middle of nowhere! People are quite safe travelling to Nicaragua.
