Do Mayan babies really not cry?

I read somewhere that Mayan babies don't cry. Is this true?

They cry but they do tend to be more quiet due to their temperaments as well being strapped to their mothers backs 24/7.
Mayans in general are quiet soft spoken people.
Its sad how many have been taken advantage of by US adoptive families.

Adopted babies tend to cry more because they miss their real moms and everything thats "familiar".

Maybe its figuratively spoken, I think if the babies don't cry something is not right. Cause that's the only way they could communicate their needs and emotions.

They do cry, they don't cry in sense that they miss their mom or they need company or something, they are very independent. When they are with their moms they are always carriend in their moms back (they tie a big blanket and put them inside like a cangaroo bag).

Oh my gosh. My son is 80% native american from Guatemala (I'm so sure he's Mayan)... and he cried like any baby, when hungry, poopy, tired, thirsty, etc... he also cries if hurt now that he's almost 4 years old.

One thing I can say though, is that he is uncanny intelligent... spoke in sentences very EARLY on around 1 year old, and went from lying on the floor to walking without ever learning to crawl. Seriously.

He's so awesome!
