The native language in Costa Rica is Spanish but you can find English speaking people all over the world...unlike the US, people abroad do learn alternate languages apart from their native one. |

Costa Rican people speak Spanish. However, you should have no problem finding people who speak at least some English. |

Costa Rica is Spanish but you will find many English speaking people at most of the tourist areas, like Quepos or Jaco. Just about every major hotel has English speaking front desk personal that will help you. Heading into mountains, and isolated beach towns, do not expect to see much English spoken, especially when dropping into a local bar or restaurants. |
