Nicaragua is one of the five Central American countries located on the isthmus of Central America between Mexico and Colombia. There is a lot of tourism and many North Americans live there as well. It is safe if you use common sense, just like anywhere else in the world. |

Ummmm. North of Costa Rica, and South of Honduras (and El Salvador).
And, no. I'm pretty sure there has been some unrest there recently. I've heard the parts of Central America that have been considered dangerous to travel to are back up on the list. I would check the State Department for travel advisories for the best information. I could be wrong. It was safe for about ten years, and a good value, too, but I've heard things are going south again...no pun intended. |
