Do you need a shot to travel to Costa Rica?

I'm travelling to Costa Rica in May. I heard that you need some sort of shot to answer the country. Is that true?

Definately not!! I went there and i went to the doctor and they told me no. You may hear that you have to but its totally not true, some people docide to get a shot but its not necesary. Ive traveled a lot and ive found that costa rica is one of the healthier places ive been to and the best part is, the water is drinkable!!!!have fun!!

No you do not require any specific shots to be granted entry into the country. Some people may get hepititus and the usual tetnis shot that is really common even for those living in the united states. There is Dengue Fever here but I have lived here for 7 months now and I have suffered nothing.

The water is drinkable here too, especially if you are in a hotel. The worst water in this country is at least potable. Its fresh and abundant. Its a nice change from the worries of Mexicos water.
