Do you recommend going to Costa Rica for a honeymoon?

It seems to be a pretty place with lots of adventurous things to do. We are just not sure if it is out of our price range only wanting to spend 3 to 4 thousand. Any Help?

I spent my own honeymoon in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica ... where there are "More Monkeys Than People" and where the "Mountains Meet the Sea".

You will not find a more beautiful place for your honeymoon memories.

As for budget, Costa Rica is well below yours. I've rented beach homes in Costa Rica for as little as $75/day.

Having spent many vacations in places like Jamaica, Mexico, etc. ... I highly recommend Costa Rica for its beauty, culture, diversity of things you can do (ie: volcanoes, rain forests, jungles, white water rafting, whale watching, sport fishing, boat tours, scuba diving, snorkeling, zip line, jungle canopy tours, horseback riding, eco-tours, wildlife watching, etc., etc., etc.), etc.

In fact, I fell so much in love with Costa Rica that I moved here this year.

Congratulations on your marriage wherever you decide to honeymoon!

nooohh gooo to nicaraguaaa i guranteee you will have a good time in "montelimar" its a hotel by the beach its so beautiful and other places in nicaragua arent that expensive as costa rica`s

Costa Rica is perfect for a honeymoon. I'd recommend Manual Antonio for its tourism ease and it's unbelievable beauty. We stayed at Costa Verde and if I ever decide to get married, I'lll probably return here for my honeymoon. The rooms are huge, the balconies were big and the views were breathtaking. It wasn't completely out in the boonies but it gave the impression of isolation away from the bulk, even if it wasn't. It was great to have privacy and still have everything within a short walk. It wasn't the cheapest hotel on the strip but not the most expensive one either. We booked most of our adventure stuff through Iguana Tours. They pick you up at the hotel and take you to the activity and then return you to the hotel. It was very convenient and the guides were very safety oriented, spoke english, and were very professional.

One of the most searched keywords in tourism in Costa Rica is "Costa Rica Honeymoon". Many hotels and sites have Honeymoon packages that usually include Room, dinner or food included, romantic activity (such as massage).

A 3 night 4 day room
Romantic dinner with sparkling wine
Massage for the couple
Taxes
In a 4-5 star hotel should be around the $1000 to $1200.

Of course, many people come here for their honeymoon and are fascinated.
You are well over budget for a week or two depending on where you go.

It's a great place and TOTALLY within your budget. For that money, you can easily rent a beach house with a maid and a cook and just chill, chill, and do whatever newlyweds do...

Great beaches, fantastic jungle trips, volcano tours, horseback treks, parks....you name it.

Have fun!
