Does Ecuador have any part of the Pan American Highway going through it?
That highway was supposed to go from Argentina to Alaska...perhaps it has been forgotten?
The Pan-American is Ecuador HWY 35. From Columbia it heads through Quito, then south and West towards Guayaquil before heading south to Peru.

It goes from the north to the south of Ecuador, (the gringo trail)
The area between Panama and Colombia called the Darien gap is the only area where there is no road.
One reason it is not finished is because it would make it easier to transport drugs from south America to North America

Yes, The PanAmerican highway goes through Ecuador. I've driven from Bogota, Colombia drown through Ecuador (not that big mind you, under 14 hr drive). Crossing through Quito, (the capital) and Guayaquil (the largest city in Ecuador), down to Lima, Peru.
Nice long trip.
