I prefer sidestep.com, which is a site that searches for information from other travel sites and lists them out in order of price. It compares all the good travel sites (orbitz, expedia, cheaptickets, as well as the airline websites) for you, so it saves a lot of time. It's never led me wrong, as far as international flights go.
There are a few airlines that tend to offer lower fares to Peru. In particular, TACA airlines, at www.taca.com. Also check LAN, AeroMexico, StarPeru and other Latin American airlines for discount fares. We went in September and TACA was offering fares that beat out the lowest american airline by about $70. The only thing is there are mileage restrictions with their partner airlines in America, so you might wind up with 9,000 miles on TACA that their partner airline won't let you transfer. |
