How about a plane?

Crilaw
The only way is fly to Cusco and reach Agua Calientes, a little village at the feet of Machu Picchu, by train or by bus and then arrive to Machu Picchu by a little bus..this is the only way...but don't worry the travel is amazing and the place then is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You cannot get there by air. The nearest airport is Cuzco. The train is a tourist train and is very comfortable (and not cheap). It is well worth the trip, but it is train or nothing--sorry!!

Sorry but you cananot fly to Machu Piccu. The closest airport is in Cusco. You can hike or take a train from there to the mountain site. There is no other way

William S
this has already been mentioned that the nearest airport is Cusco. To get to Machu Pichu you either catch a train, bus or taxi. You can also hike there through the Inca trail (which is really popular, up to 300 people do so each day for a four day hike) or a lesser known trail that leads to Machu Pichu called the Salkantay trek. Salkantay is way cheaper, more beautiful. You'd be crazy to want to fly to Machu Pichu anyway, the scenery is more beautiful than anything you have ever seen before, trust me.
