Does anybody know what the English word for "Chicasquil" is?

I live in Costa Rica and have eaten several dishes with Chicasquil as the main ingredient. I have never seen this plant, but the dishes were delicious. Does anybody know what the English name of this plant/herb is?

Do mean tiquisque? Is it a root? If so what color is it?

â‚«aviâ‚«
That's a new one for me!! I visit Costa Rica an average of 4 or 5 times per year and I've never heard that word. I really have no idea, probably there is no translation, such as many other local words (like mae, that means dude but there is no translation).
