Costa Rica is full of yummy food. There's beans, meat, fish, chicken. You name it. However, what's great about this tropical country is the different fruits and vegetables used. You can get tasty fresh fruit drinks and delicious salads with lots of heart of palm.
I actually wrote a post about the yummy foods of Costa Rica.

When I visited Costa Rica a few years ago, the most popular dish was pinto gallo (beans and rice). They also ate a lot of tropical fruits such as papayas, pineapples, mangoes and mamones. Mamones are red, spiky fruit that you peel like a grape with a big nut inside. |

Rice and beans are VERY popular. As are various types of fresh fruit and bread. Also, CR is famous for their coffee. |
