The "official" religion is Catholic. If you need more facts please browse this category in past answers as several people have posted good web sites and info.

About 97% of the people in the country are Catholic.

Chile is a south american country that was conquered by
Spain and ruled it for many years. Like so many countries
that was ruled by Spain, the people were converted to
christianity, specifically the Roman Catholic religion.
When it gained independence, other religious influences
began to arise and soon some were converted to become
baptists, pentacostals, and other protestant congregations.
Others reverted to their ancient religious practices.
However, at present almost 76% of the population remain
adherent of the Catholic church and only 24% have other
beliefs. This is just a miniscule of what you can know about
the country. If you wish to know more us your internet to
have a comprehensive view and knowledge of Chile.
Hope i was able to help you.
