Yes it does snow in winter, in many southern cities and all across de Andes mountains. We have very good ski resorts, like Portillo, Valle Nevado, Termas de Chillan and others. |

Hello!
At the people before me said, in the mountains, "Los Andes" snows. Not all the year, but in the winter. There are some mountains in the south, from Osorno, so so, to the Antarctica, are always snow, winter and summer.
In the coast, from Cohyaique, ocasionally. In the north of this city, never. (I've live in Concepción and Puerto Montt).
In Punta Arenas snows every winter. Not like in the past, actually is more snow-water (I hope you understand).
In Puerto Williams (the southest city of the world) snows more than Punta Arenas, and is very beautiful, one of my favorites places. If you can visit P.W., do it ; )
In Santiago, tha capitol (it's ubicated in the center so so, between the mountains and the ocean), in the winter, sometimes, just sometimes snows, but only in the oriental areas of the city.
Well, that's all. I hope I did help you.
Greetings from Chile, FabiƔn.
P.S.-What has 4 wheels and flys?
A: a garbage truck. (jajaja!) |

almost the entire northern half of chile is the atacama dessert, the driest in the world so it doesnt snow. But if you go almost anywhere wouth of santiago the capital it does snow, especially in the mountains. closer to the coast its more temperate so its a lot of rain not so much snow unless your very far south. |
