Is a very very small country with hot weather, with beautiful places, good food, hundreds of km of beach shore, good hotels, modern malls. Is it dangerous? well I think that every country in the world has it's dangerous places, but you have to consider that is not a country in war, the police is not corrupted like in Mexico or Guatemala and the people is very kind especially with tourists so you are wellcome to visit El salvador any time. |

I travel there on business once a year. There are parts of the country that are absolutely gorgeous, and then, there are parts that will absolutely break your heart. Someone said earlier that it was dangerous. I, personally, have never been in a situation where I felt that I was in danger, but the guy that I normally ride to and from work and who takes me to dinner with has told me about some things that have happened. Although I have never felt as if I were in danger, I don't go anywhere by myself and I try to always be mindful of what is going on around me. I wouldn't advise travelling alone either. |

Well its very hot and very beautiful. I have travelled all of El Salvador and the first thing you notice when you get there is the political tension. You will see a lot of ARENA posters as soon as you go in. I recommend you visit el cuco(San Miguel) beach, puerta del diablo (San Salvador) and La Libertad beach. Its beautiful but beware of Soyapango and the ghettos of San Salvador. You do not want be stuck there at night or day. Mara Salvatrucha are extremely dangerous and will "tax" your entry into their neighborhood. So be nice to them they will kill you if they want to. |

El Salvador is a very beautiful country anybody that says the opposite obviously has never been there if you go there you will seriously find out that people talk more sh*t than they should its completely the opposite go and find out that is what i did dont listen to people that just hear things and just say what they hear people usually stick to talking about the negative because they find it to be more interesting... the country does have a bad past what matters now is the present and the future and now the country is beautiful and doing way better than it did years ago. |

in the small "pueblos" or villages its nice because everyone there knows each other and they all live like one big family |
