I've noticed that a lot of El salvadorians have nice luxury cars, is their country rich or something? What types of jobs do they do when they live in U.S? |

The country itself is very poor. Salvadorans are hard working modest people. We are like everybody else. We hold all types of jobs. From janitors to CEOs to actors to athletes.
To drive a nice car is to show that we have bettered ourselves, that we have made something with our lives.
When you come from a town where everybody walks, a Toyota corolla can be a great car.
More than most people, Salvadorans strive to improve themselves and their way of living. Sometimes a nice car can be a part of that. |

Nope, I'm Salvadorian and I do not have a luxury car. Our country is very poor. As far as Salvadorians having nice cars here maybe it's people with good jobs. People with luxury cars in El Salvador usually work for American companies. My brother works for Dell in El Salvador and he makes more than the average Salvadorian so he can afford a good car. |

Not all Salvadorians are rich. I am an English teacher and I teach some Salvadorian immigrants. They are hard working people with a variety of jobs. |

El Salvador is whealty compare to their neighbors, but still a poor country, El Salvador has been the only country in the area that their economy has been growing at a fast pace thanks to millions of dollars that are being sent by the salvys abroad.
You may find all the acomodities you find in the USA in San Salvador and San Miguel or even Santa Ana, my kids at moments last year they felt as they where still in Los Angeles, but do not be fool by how modern the El Salvador has become still a long way for El Salvador to get out of poverty.

The country may not be rich, it's the people who are determined to work hard. |

the salvadorians i know say that in el salvador you have to go to school to have nice cars nice house and the poor people can't afford to finish school so he says when we come to the U.S we work hard to get a nice house a nice car because we have an opportunity to have what in el salvador for a poor person is hard to get. when i visited in el salvador i did notice many people in the country itself have nice cars in my head i was thinking maybe they are tourist that rent nice cars, but i came to meet some of the people and they are doctors, lawyers, teachers, owner of many businessess if you go to san salvador or san miguel you will see sometimes better cars than here on the streets bmw. hummer, lilcon, mercedes, the poor use pick up trucks but if you go there you will see with the nice things they have overthere you would think you are here. Some of that in their good economy is people from here help their families alot that live overthere. |
