If you are a US citizen, you can travel with your passport to El Salvador and obtain a visitors visa when you arrive in the airport. The cost is under $20.

Your nationality?
A passport is needed to enter (or leave) El Salvador.
Even children of any age need a passport.
An exception is if you are a national of Guatemala or Honduras.
In this last case you can enter (or leave) El Salvador by showing your national identity card (Cédula or Documento Único de Identidad DUI). |
