I've been to : Ecuador, Peru , Venezuela , Brazil , Colombia , Bolivia , and Argentina.
All of which I would recommend but most of all I like Ecuador for the people and places , I even bought an apartment and plan on moving there in the future to start my own business.
A Must visit;
Basil - Rio de janeiro
Peru - Machu Picchu
Ecuador - Galapogos
Venezuela - Angle Falls

I have been to some cities in Brazil. Curitiba, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina they are all beautiful cities. If you ever have a chance, go i highly recommend this country. The people are very happy and welcoming. It's not too expensive either.

I have been to Rio, beautiful place but beware where you are going.Tourists have been targeted by bag snatchers etc. Groups of tourist police are patrolling the main tourist areas.The Iguazzu Falls are the best in the world. Part of the falls are in Brazil and part in Argentina. Make sure you go in the wet season.I also liked Peru.Macchu Picchu is a must see, and I also recommend the 4 day Inka Trail. Cuzco is a beautiful place, narrow streets, great architecture,lots of history. Further south is the city of Arequipa.Nice place, Volcano Misti nearby. Some very nice historic sites to visit.
The saltlakes of southern Bolivia are amazing.You can do a guided tour of the saltlakes and then go on to the Atacama desert to San Pedro. I spent 7 days there and explored all the must see things. Should you decide to visit SA, do a bit of research on the internet

Brazil and Argentina seem interesting. Especially Brazil because of the rain forest!

My step-sister's been there, and she said she liked Brazil the best.

I have never been to Brazil, but I truly enjoy visiting Colombia and Peru. Spanish is my preference over Portuguese.
