Okay, so i need to know some popular, touristy cities in Nicaragua for a Spanish project. One in the north, one in the east, one in the west, and two in the south. Thanks!

okay so I'm Nicaraguan and frequently visit. Love Managua, although its touristy and a bit dangerous. However I love the fact that it is so busy and challenging. My family is from Granada and that is where I was born. Beautiful, colonial, calm and becoming much more touristy. Ive also been to Leon which is also old and very much colonial. Matagalpa and Jinotega are in the north, its colder and Jinotega is more rural from what I experienced in a coffee growing community. In the East is the Atlantic coat, the major city is Bluefields, this part of Nicaragua is more carribean with your indegenous groups and Afronicaraguans. When hear you dont think your in Nicaragua at all-its completely different from the Pacific coast. Places to see when in the East is Corn Island, Little Corn Island and Laguna de Perla. In the South you have Rivas and San Juan del Sur, known for their great water and surfing opportunities. Ecotourism is growing all over the country. Lovely place to go. Rich history, great people and food.

Hi Jade the best city you want to look out is Granada.
It is rich in touristy. It is locate south of Managua the capital.

THe coolest thing in Nicaragua are the Fresh Water Sharks. After that, its the corn Islands. Managua is too touristy and petty crime is rampant. In many parts of Managua, the infra-structure is aging and decrepit. Nicaragua isnt very developed, touristically speaking. Go now before its all screwed up (Like Macchu Picchu)

Managua, i was there!! Although because of the tourists, the crim rate is soooo high. i was robbed lol, true story....
