Llamas, Vicunhas, Alpacas. Those are all four legged animal that live in the cold region of the Andes. That's around Cuzco. They are raised for their wool which they in turn make quilts, sweaters and the like with. They are also used for transportation to travel in mountaneous ranges.

Crops I would have to say Potatoes. Potatoes are originally from Peru. There are a gazillion types of potatoes grown there, all with a specific name. Also, maize is grown there that's local to the country. Maize is a type of corn but it's purple in color. There is typical drink that's made out of maize, which is called "Chicha Morada." It's a pretty good drink which is either served hot or cold. Also, Quinhua is grown in Peru.

As far as famous people there I can only think of Mario Vargas Llosa. He was born in Arequipa, Peru. For anymore check: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Peruvians. (I can't take a risk of posting a link or my answer will get deleted). I don't know where they were born though. Pick a couple and then google it I guess.
