Flights between Houston and Costa Rica?

There is an airline that isn't widely publicized that has cheap flights between Houston and Costa Rica...any ideas?

I know it's nothing you can find on Expedia or Orbitz.

The problem with airline flights is that months ago when oil prices were rising, they invested in gas futures and got locked in fuel costs, and have not been able to pass that saving on to consumers when suddenly oil prices started dropping (or say that is what their excuse is). You may want to check, cheaptickets.com.

For example, On Cheaptickets.com, there were round trip tickets for $667 on Delta Airline leaving at the end on Jan, coming back the mid and/or end of Feb. Other airlines had about the same in costs.

Hope this helps

Continental Airlines, I bought my ticket in 389$US in the last Christmas (in 2007).

We are going to Costa Rica in March and are in Houston. American Airlines was running a sale on flights from Miami for $240 round trip per person. We are flying Southwest to Fort Lauderdale the day before the flight to San Jose for $250 per person round trip. Even with the expense of a hotel for an overnight stay this worked out better for us and less expensive than the $619 fare Continental had at the time I booked our flights. We looked at COPA but are traveling with an 11 year old and didn't want deal with a stop in San Salvador plus the price difference wasn't that much between COPA & Continental was very slim. If you dates are flexible you might check American as they were running a special on flights from Houston to San Jose but we couldn't get their flights to work for us on a direct basis as we have to been in San Jose by noon in order to catch a flight later that day to Puerto Jimenez. Hope this helps.

You can definitely find cheap deals... You really just need to do a lot of comparing. I would recommend checking out BookMe dot com. You can compare ALL the reputable travel sites, and save money. Good luck!

Prices vary a lot but you can try LACSA which is now part of TACA airlines.
The regular airfar is about $350 round trip but you ahve to shop around for specials and depending on the season you can find something cheaper, right now the high season is begining so they are likely to go higher until around April or May.
